Senior Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to provide world-class accounting and finance support to high-growth venture-backed companies. You'll be a hands-on partner to CEOs and leadership team members at dynamic software and services companies.

About this role: This role will support Topo’s team members in delivering high quality accounting and finance support to Topo’s customers. In this role, we’re looking for a high agency person with a strong understanding of the financial statements and an interest in startups. This role will become increasingly strategic as the individual grows within Topo. 

What You’ll Do:

• Act as a thought partner to company leaders and assist them in making strategic decisions that will help their companies find product-market-fit and accelerate growth


• Own and update portfolio company financial models and budgets


• Work with CEOs to determine key metrics and levers to influence change


• Plan for and execute fundraising objectives


• Communicate key updates to company board members


• Oversee accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable


• Manage monthly close process, analysis and reporting


• Analyze & monitor cash flow and expense management

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be based in Indianapolis, IN or Cincinatti, OH


• You’re organized and demonstrate a high attention to detail and accuracy


• You have an interest in startups and are excited to influence business strategy


• You have a bias for action and like to take ownership of new projects


• Ability to communicate effectively with various senior stakeholders


• You are a voracious learner and can translate new learnings into action


• You love working with numbers and helping people


• You have the rare ability to quickly shift from high-level strategic thinking to tactical execution


• 3+ years working in SaaS or professional services finance


• Excellent quantitative skills with strong experience in Excel and familiarity with Quickbooks


• Ability to embrace ambiguity, uncertainty, and changing business landscapes
