Job DescriptionSenior Financial Analyst 9543Responsible for providing broad analytical and financial support across all areas of the business and plays a key role in the company’s financial planning function as well as driving operational efficiency through reporting and analysis. Partners with leadership and senior managers to monitor key performance metrics, analyze the company’s financial results, and identify business trends.
Duties- Reviews both the balance sheet and cash flow statements. Conducts financial statement analysis with focus on operational performance trends within the P&L.
- Applies GAAP accounting practices to structure financial models and business valuations. Manages and develops standard monthly forecasting, variance analyses and financial reporting for management review.
- Completes the timely and accurate analysis of monthly financial forecasts and projections, as well as annual strategic and financial plans. Analyzes variances to target for key performance metrics that determine root causes, and develops actionable information for senior leadership. Discovers key business drivers, and translates the findings in terms of their financial impact to the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow. Ensures that company assets and financial resources are optimally deployed to maximize returns.
- Identifies operational drivers that impact results, converting them into meaningful key performance indicators and making recommendations to improve results. Coordinates the development and presentation of the company’s annual financial budgets.
- Develops financial modeling and reporting systems to identify performance trends that increase and sustain profitability. Constructs ad hoc reports via various systems to analyze and minimize areas of waste and controllable costs. Conducts and documents financial analyses for ad hoc projects assigned by senior management.
- Participates in special projects and prepares presentations for senior management. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required.
- 3 - 5 years of financial analysis or accounting experience
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
- Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages.
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis.
- Experience with Power BI preferred
- CPA and/or MBA preferred, but not required
- Experience in the construction industry preferred but not required
