An innovative home care company focused on eco-friendly cleaning products (including laundry detergent sheets) is seeking a Senior Formulation Chemist reporting to the Director of R&D. This role supports product improvement, innovation, new formula prototype development, lab testing, and quality control across turnkey formulations and manufacturing scale-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  Develop new formula prototypes and run lab testing under the direction of the Director of R&D to support ongoing product innovation

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with cross-functional teams (including Product Development) to manage technical readiness for assigned projects

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in production trials at manufacturing facilities and support R&D process development engineers with scaling up from lab to pilot plant/production

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain detailed records of experiments, stability testing, and analytical results to ensure accurate documentation and traceability

  
  


• 
  

  Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and reliability

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain laboratory safety protocols according to county and state regulations

  
  


• 
  

  Order and manage inventory of lab supplies and raw materials

  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in Home Care formulation (laundry, APC, ADW, floor cleaner, etc.)

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), mixture experiments, and statistical approaches to developing chemical-based products

  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  

  5+ years of formulation and product development experience in personal care, beauty, or home care products

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP software for ANOVA, DOE, Process Control)
