Job Description - Senior Full Stack Engineer (BE - Java, FE - Javascript)

Build the Technology Behind Global Air Logistics

Join a newly growing engineering team responsible for one of the most critical areas of a global logistics leader's operations: aviation transportation.
Every day, thousands of shipments move across continents through a network of airlines, airports, transportation hubs, and logistics systems. The Aviation IT team develops and maintains the digital platforms that integrate airline systems with the company's global logistics infrastructure, ensuring shipments move efficiently and reliably around the world.

This is a backend-heavy engineering role (approximately 70% backend, 30% frontend) focused on modernizing and expanding systems that support international air transportation operations.

You will work closely with colleagues across Europe and Asia, helping transform existing applications into modern cloud-native solutions while contributing to a newly established engineering team in Prague.

What You'll Be Doing

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications

Modernize legacy systems and support migration towards microservices architecture

Build and enhance integrations with airline and transportation systems

Develop backend services supporting global aviation operations

Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and international engineering teams

Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions

Participate in technical design discussions and architectural decisions

Mentor less experienced engineers and share technical knowledge across the team

Improve software quality through automated testing and CI/CD practices

Contribute to cloud-native application development initiatives

Requirements

Strong commercial experience with Java development

Experience building backend services and distributed systems

Good understanding of object-oriented design principles

Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful services

Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

Familiarity with CI/CD and modern development practices

Understanding of software architecture and microservices

Ability to work in an international environment

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
