Job Description - Senior Full-Stack Developer (.NET/Drupal)

LightFeather is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer who will lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of critical web applications and APIs for a federal agency's national registry operations. This role requires expertise in .NET development, Drupal CMS, and API integration, as well as the ability to ensure Section 508 compliance and support mission-critical government web services.


This role provides the opportunity to work on high-impact web applications and APIs that serve the federal financial sector, ensuring secure, accessible, and scalable application solutions.



  • Location: Remote with preference for Silver Spring, MD area candidates

  • Job Type: Full Time

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required

  • Clearance Requirement: Public Trust or higher preferred


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and maintain .NET applications using C# and .NET Framework 4.8 for registry and financial operations.

  • Maintain and upgrade Drupal CMS, including potential re-platforming to Drupal 12.1.

  • Maintain and enhance SOAP and REST APIs supporting state agency integrations and public registry access.

  • Ensure Section 508 compliance across all web applications and implement accessibility best practices.

  • Implement and maintain Login.gov integration with existing SQL authentication systems.

  • Design and develop custom software solutions for registry data processing and financial tracking operations.

  • Create and maintain API documentation, technical specifications, and development project plans.

  • Apply secure coding practices and coordinate application security reviews with federal partners.

  • Monitor and optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.


Required Qualifications



  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with strong focus on .NET and web technologies.

  • Expert-level proficiency in C#, .NET Framework 4.8, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.

  • Strong experience with Drupal CMS, IIS configuration, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.

  • Proven experience with SOAP and REST API development, documentation, and integration.

  • Understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards and federal web compliance requirements.


Preferred Skills



  • Experience working with federal agencies or government web application projects.

  • Knowledge of AWS services, Redis, and cloud-based application deployment.

  • Familiarity with Python scripting and automation tools.

  • Experience with MS Access integration and macro development.
