Senior Geotechnical Engineer, P.E.
Location: Fort Wayne, IN (100% Onsite Relocation Required)
Salary: $120K+ base (commensurate with experience) + Bonus + Profit Sharing
Schedule: Full-Time | Standard Business Hours

This isn't a desk-only job you'll have a direct hand in mentoring engineers, interfacing with clients, and ensuring every report that leaves the office reflects excellence.
You'll be joining a compact, high-performing team in Fort Wayne, Indiana that prioritizes no-frills communication, technical rigor, and real impact on the communities they serve.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead day-to-day operations of a geotechnical team (engineers, techs, and geologists)
  • Oversee proposals, budgets, and timelines while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Review and approve geotechnical reports, analysis, and recommendations
  • Provide mentorship and direction to junior staff, guide training and growth
  • Ensure quality control, documentation, and compliance across all active projects
  • Conduct periodic field reviews to verify site and soil conditions
  • Represent the company in professional interactions and problem-solving efforts
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelors or master's in civil or Geotechnical Engineering
Active P.E. license in any U.S. state
5-10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering & materials testing
Proven ability to manage a technical team and coordinate multidisciplinary projects
Solid writing skills for reports and proposals
Strong communication for both client interactions and internal leadership
Willingness to relocate to Fort Wayne, IN
You'll Stand Out If You Also Have:
P.E. license in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, or Illinois
Experience working with local municipalities, contractors, or developers
Background in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering talent
Familiarity with Midwest soil conditions and construction standards
