Senior Glass Estimator

About the role

• Reflection Glass is seeking a detail oriented Senior Glass Estimator that is eager to play a pivotal part within our team. The Senior Glass Estimator will play a crucial role involving but not limited to, assessing project specifications from given floor plans, building/creating cost estimates, and managing client relationships. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate project costs and contributing to the company's reputation and growth.

What you'll do

• Analyze project specifications, building blueprints, and other relevant documents to accurately determine the scope of work required for glazing projects.
• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for commercial glazing projects.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with the field team to gather information on material and labor requirements.
• Manage multiple estimating projects concurrently with the ability to multi-task with jobs in progress.
• Stay updated with industry trends, material costs, and glazing techniques to enhance estimation accuracy and efficiency.
• Comply with all building codes when doing quotations from specifications and drawings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator with 5+ years in the glass field or a related industry, along with strong analytical and organizational skills
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in industry-specific estimating software and tools such as Ycal, YKK, Old Castle, MS Office
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
