Senior GPU Design Verification Engineer - Power

QCT\u0027s Digital ASIC design team delivers cutting edge hardware and software products that power the user\u2019s experience and graphics content of the most advanced mobile devices on the market.\n\nResponsibilities will include\n\n * Work with Architecture and Design team to understand the low power design features and create verification plan\n\n * Develop test plan documents for the design features and get them reviewed with design team\n\n * Develop verification components, testbench for low power verification and integrate third party VIPs/UVCs as required\n\n * Create constraint random verification environment using System Verilog, UVM\n\n * Follow company defined verification methodologies\n\n * Perform Power Aware Verification in a random verification environment with embedded firmware running on the design\n\n * Regress and close the required Low Power coverage metrics to ensure high quality design\n\n * Create portable test setup, verification components that can be reused across simulation, emulation platforms\n\n * Perform failure debug involving hardware software co-debug \n\n * Work with tool vendors and push the methodology to improve the verification flows.\n\n * System level RTL simulation \u0026 design verification.\n\n * Support SoC DV for their integration verification, chip bring up and post silicon debug.\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n\nDesirable Skills:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in science, engineering, or closely related field\n\n * 2+ years of hands-on experience in System Verilog, OVM/UVM based constrained random verification.\n\n * 2+ years in Design validation/post-silicon debug.\n\n * 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing verification components/UVCs, testbench for RTL verification\n\n * 2+ years of hands on testbench bringup, integrating third party VIPs, digital design, verification, debugging, and waveform debug\n\n * 2+ years of experience in UPF based Power Aware verification\n\n * 2+ years of experience in Functional coverage model development and/or code coverage closure\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\n * MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 8 years of practical experience\n\n * Power Aware Emulation verification experience\n\n * Hardware/Software Co-verification or embedded firmware verification experience is highly desirable\n\n * Worked on Low Power coverage metrics collection and coverage closure\n\n * Knowledge of GPU/CPU/DDR/Bus preferred\n\n * Scripting skills using Python\n\n * Formal verification experience (AND/OR) Low Power Formal Verification experience\n\n\n\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
