THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Analytics, the Senior HealthcareData Analyst will be involved in the programming, data mining andanalysis of healthcare data with an emphasis on medical economics,clinical and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare dataanalysis and advanced proficiency in SAS to support data driven decisionmaking to improve the health outcomes of the patients and populations wesupport.
WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:
Translate complex health care data into actionable insights to drivehealthcare quality and efficiency.
Perform data manipulations and statistical analysis to identify trends,patterns, and insights.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualizations tocommunicate finding to stakeholders.
Conduct analysis to support Shared Savings and other key improvementprograms.
Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of the AnalyticDataMart including quality checks, identifying data issues, and workingwith partners to create solutions.
Work with clinical and IT teams to operationalize analytic and reportinginnovations.
Complete a variety of clinical and financial client ad hoc analyses inan efficient and timely manner.
Support the development and evaluation of value-based care models andstrategies supporting safety net providers.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelors degree in data analytics, economics, statistics, publichealth, or a comparable program with a quantitative emphasis. Mastersdegree preferred.
4+ years professional SAS experience, including data step programming,PROC SQL, macros and statistical procedures.
Advanced knowledge of medical claims, pharmacy, eligibility, provider,and clinical data preferably in a in a managed care, Medicaid, Medicare,or health plan setting.
Strong understanding of health care quality measures, risk adjustment,and value base payment models
Ability to work independently on multiple projects leveraging strongorganizational and time management skills.
Strong skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) andMicrosoft Excel
Familiarity with other data analysis tools and programming languages(e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
