Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Description

This position has exposure to agricultural products including wheat and soybean.

Key Job Duties:

• Prepare reports on a daily and weekly basis
• Asses, document, and fix equipment including chassis, lift equipment, terminal trucks, and containers.
• Constructs daily and weekly goals for the maintenance department to complete. Provides guidance and training as needed
• Diagnostic work using computerized or manual testing equipment
• Perform routine checks to prevent equipment failures
• Adjust and replace faulty parts to ensure equipment functionality and safety
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and standards
• Maintain daily records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections

Requirements

• 5 years experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• 1 year leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Experience placing work orders
• Experience maintaining a parts inventory
• CMMS experience highly desired
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Experience generating reports in different software systems
• Ability to perform physical demanding tasks and work in various environmental conditions
