Job Description - Senior HR Coordinator

Full-time

Description

Here we grow again!

NOTE: APPLICANTS must live in Washington State. We do not offer relocation for this role.

We're looking for a Senior HR Coordinator who is equal parts problem solver, compliance expert, and trusted partner. You're someone who doesn't wait for instructions, you identify what needs to be done and take ownership of it. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can juggle competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy, and understand that Human Resources is both people-focused and detail-driven.

You're comfortable navigating complex employee matters, maintaining confidentiality, and partnering with leaders across multiple locations. You enjoy creating order out of chaos, building processes that work, and being the person others can rely on when they need answers.

If you're looking for a role where you'll make a meaningful impact while growing with an expanding organization, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Administer employee benefits including enrollments, qualifying life events, eligibility audits, and employee communications.
  • Coordinate leave administration including FMLA, ADA accommodations, Paid Family and Medical Leave, Workers' Compensation, and other protected leaves.
  • Prepare and maintain employment documentation including offer letters, corrective actions, performance reviews, terminations, and policy acknowledgements.
  • Conduct HR audits related to personnel files, benefits eligibility, ACA compliance, and employee data.
  • Maintain employee records within the HRIS and support the accurate processing of job changes, compensation changes, and organizational updates.
  • Partner with managers to provide guidance regarding attendance, performance management, workplace conduct, and company policies.
  • Maintain documentation related to employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Support recruiting and onboarding initiatives including job postings, applicant tracking, background screenings, and new hire processes.
  • Prepare reports related to benefits, workforce metrics, turnover, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate unemployment claims, garnishments, employment verifications, and personnel record requests.
  • Maintain HR forms, SOPs, training materials, and employee communications.
  • Support payroll audits and collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate employee information and compliance.
  • Assist with HR projects including system implementations, process improvements, and organizational initiatives.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all employee matters.
  • Provide exceptional support to employees and leaders across multiple locations while balancing business needs and compliance requirements.

What's In It For You

  • Compensation: $31.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Medical insurance: 80% employer paid beginning the first day of the month following your start date (with qualifying hours).
  • DailyPay access, allowing eligible employees to access earned wages before payday.
  • Two (2) weeks of paid vacation available after 90 days of employment.
  • 401(k) with company match after one year of service.
  • Voluntary dental and vision coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Paid sick leave in accordance with applicable state and local laws.
  • Leadership development and advancement opportunities.
  • Opportunities to contribute to meaningful HR initiatives within a growing multi-state organization.
  • A collaborative, people-first culture where your contributions matter.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Experience administering employee benefits, leave management, and employee relations matters with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and Human Resources best practices.
  • Experience supporting multi-state organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working within an HRIS platform; Paylocity experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience creating reports, maintaining confidential records, and managing complex HR processes.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or relevant Human Resources certifications are preferred but not required.
  • The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and identify solutions before problems escalate.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations, drafting corrective action documentation, and supporting leaders through employee relations matters is strongly preferred.

Requirements

 The Physical Stuff

  • Primarily office-based work requiring extended periods sitting, typing, and utilizing multiple computer systems.
  • Frequent communication with employees and leaders through phone, video conferencing, and email.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds for office supplies, files, or training materials.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to company locations as business needs require.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift quickly and no two days are exactly alike.
