Job Description - Senior HR Generalist

Position Summary

TSG is seeking a strong, hands-on People Experience Manager to help bring structure, consistency, and operational excellence to the HR function. This role will work closely with the Director of HR and serve as a key partner in organizing HR processes, improving day-to-day execution, strengthening accountability, and building a more scalable people infrastructure across the organization.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives in environments that need order, follow-through, and practical leadership. This role will operate with a high level of ownership and influence across core HR and people operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Director of HR to strengthen and streamline the overall HR function
  • Assess current HR processes, identify gaps, and implement more consistent workflows, documentation, and accountability measures
  • Help organize and improve core HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee files, compliance tracking, policy administration, performance support, and employee communications
  • Create structure around recurring HR priorities, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure follow-through across the department
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Improve coordination between HR, operations, and department leaders to ensure people-related matters are handled efficiently and consistently
  • Assist in building stronger manager support practices, employee relations processes, and internal communication rhythms
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, and tracking tools to improve visibility into HR activity and department performance
  • Help identify and implement process improvements that create a more scalable and organized HR department
  • Serve as a trusted partner and day-to-day leader within HR, helping to drive progress and maintain momentum on key initiatives
  • Support special projects related to organizational growth, workforce planning, compliance, training, or departmental redesign

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to HR operations, employee relations, process improvement, and generalist leadership
  • Experience helping build, stabilize, or improve an HR function in a growing organization
  • Strong working knowledge of HR processes, compliance, documentation, and operational best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure and follow-through to environments that may be fast-moving, evolving, or lacking consistency
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative role alongside senior HR leadership
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
  • Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to influence others, drive accountability, and move initiatives forward without relying solely on title
  • Healthcare, therapy, behavioral health, multi-site, or services industry experience is a plus

Reporting Relationship

This role reports to the Director of HR and works in close partnership with HR leadership and cross-functional leaders throughout the organization.
