The
Senior Human Resources Manager
is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior operations and HR leadership. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: complex absence management (ADA/FMLA), employee relations and investigations, training, employee engagement programs, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, workers compensation and safety, unemployment, and general employment law compliance. This position will participate in company-wide projects to drive business strategy and initiatives. This position also manages a team of HR support personnel (HR Manager, HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Assistant) so management skills are needed.
Work closely with senior management on Company-wide projects to drive business strategy
Train HR Managers through continued education for professional development
Conduct HR training to increase local management knowledge
Drive people strategy for the department to align with corporate strategy
Respond to inquiries regarding the organization’s policies, procedures, and benefits
Assist with managing complex employee leave of absence programs and ADA accommodation requests
Investigate and resolve employee relations issues and legal complaints
Manage complex unemployment and workers' compensation claims
Maintain confidential employment data, health records, and electronic data utilizing the HRIS database
Partner with management to build a high-performance, people‐focused culture that drives business results
Manage HR team at local site
Protect the interests of employees and the company per company Human Resources policies and all applicable employment standards and legislation.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience
5 years of Human Resources management experience
Demonstrated knowledge of State and Federal employment laws
Broad range of HR Generalist/Management experience
Experience working in an environment with a high number of hourly employees (call center, manufacturing, health care. etc.) is strongly preferred
Ability to assess and identify causes of workplace issues and mediate conflict or make recommendations for resolution of conflicts
Knowledge of payroll systems and time/attendance systems is a plus (ADP)
Ability to maintain confidentiality required
Ability to relate and communicate with all levels of employees through excellent listening and communication skills that engender trust and support
PHR, SPHR or SHRM certification preferred
