What You Will Do:

Responsibilities:

Develop and codify processes to design and optimize assembly facilities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Construct programming models for assembly balancing and resource allocation.
Analyze complex and unstructured data sets using SQL and Python for data-driven decision-making.
Develop data visualization packages to communicate insights from data analysis.
Develop material handling processes to move materials in assembly facilities with maximum efficiency.
Conduct experiments to validate the flexibility and scalability of modular facility designs.
Manage and support simulation models for assembly facilities.
Leverage computing techniques to solve optimization problems efficiently, such as transportation and logistic related processes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement in industrial engineering practices.
Qualifications

Masters Related Field required
Doctorate Industrial Engineering preferred
4+ Years of relevant experience in industrial engineering roles or equivalent education and research required
3+ Years of research-related experience in modular facility design, models of operations for modular assembly facilities, models for assembly line balancing, o material handling processes and/or kit optimization processes required
Proficient in programming languages (Python, SQL, MATLAB, C, Java) and software tools (Gurobi, CPLEX, AutoCAD, SPSS, Tableau) required
Experience with simulation software (Simio, Anylogic) preferred

Physical Demands
This role is primarily performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. As part of the essential functions of this role, the individual will need to access a factory and be exposed to temperature changes. This may will result in being exposed to noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes and navigate around factory machines.
