Senior Information Systems Technician II

Knight Federal is seeking a skilled Senior Information Systems Technician II to join our Network Operations team at Fort Polk, LA. The ideal candidate will be required to operate / maintain / sustain the JRTC Integrated Training Networks, cyber security, the IC3NS cellular System, SVOIP installations and CPOF/CPCE connection.  The technician will maintain network infrastructure and related equipment supporting JRTC systems. This role requires experience in enterprise-level networking, fiber, ethernet troubleshooting and a strong understanding of security protocols within a DoD environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install,      configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, servers)
• Monitor      IC3NS systems and troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Implement      network security measures in compliance with DoD standards
• Maintain      and update network documentation and diagrams
• Support      system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
• Connecting,      trouble analysis, repair of fiber and ethernet circuit to support end      users
• Respond      to and resolve network incidents and service requests in a timely manner
• Provide      technical support and training of Cell phones & Tablets to end users      as needed
• Maintaining      diesel engines, trailers, oil changes and general service
• Pulling      trailers when needed for deployment and raising antenna masts

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain)
• CompTIA Security+ certification 
• Experience or interest working in a DoD or federal IT environment
• Knowledge of fiber, ethernet cabling and connection types
• Background check and drug test
