Job Summary:
Perform construction observation and materials testing to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct construction observation to verify work is performed according to approved plans and specifications.

• Perform special inspections (reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, masonry, etc.) and field-materials testing, including soil compaction, concrete strength, and asphalt density.

• Record and document daily test results and observations; communicate findings with the project management team.

• Prepare and organize test reports for different phases of the construction project.

• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance and calibration to ensure accurate readings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in quality control, construction materials testing, or related field.

• American Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade I certification.

• Nevada Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (NAQTC) Sampling and Density certification.

• International Code Council (ICC) Certification(s); ICC certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Prestressed Concrete, and Masonry preferred.

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour Construction certification.

• Proficient in overseeing construction activities, conducting field tests, and preparing detailed reports.

• Familiarity with equipment, techniques, and protocols used in construction materials testing.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate in a team environment.

• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties outdoors in various weather conditions.
