Responsibilities:

• Collecting and reviewing monthly financial packages from multiple property management companies for owned operating properties, currently in sectors including student housing, senior living, multi-family, medical office and light industrial.
• Completion of monthly, quarterly and annual compliance certificates for lenders in connection with the Asset Management team, Capital Markets team and the property management accounting team.
• Uploading monthly financial information into MRI, Kayne’s accounting system.
• Ongoing frequent communication with multiple property management accounting teams and Asset Management.
• Review of financial information includes reconciliation of key balances (loan, equity, cash), identification of accounting issues or errors made by the property management team and resolution to ensure monthly financials in MRI are accurate.
• Assistance with and review of accounting for significant transactions, including purchase accounting entries, disposition entries and loan refinancings.
• Assistance with research and preparation of accounting schedules needed for audit and tax compliance.
• Treasury responsibilities, including assistance with wire transfers and research, as assigned.

• Accounting degree
• 2+ years public accounting experience, preferably in Audit
• CPA or progress towards a CPA
• Accounting experience in real estate important, including multi-unit accounting at the operator or owner level
• Position will be based in Boca and in office full time
• Strong Excel skills
