In this role, you will lead a dynamic team focused on delivering innovative technology solutions that align with regulatory requirements. Your leadership will ensure the successful implementation of critical financial reporting initiatives, significantly impacting the business's operations and compliance. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to drive strategic projects and cultivate a productive and motivated team environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead a development team of 4-6 Scala developers, building ETL solutions for regulatory data requirements.
- Work with analysts and QA to define technology solutions based on business and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate development issues and priorities to business stakeholders.
- Manage team performance, providing support to meet both team and individual objectives.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams to define hardware and system requirements.
- Assist with Level 3 Production Support and ongoing application maintenance.
- Ensure applications comply with relevant regulatory and audit standards.
- Proactively manage and resolve issues from discovery to resolution.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience leading a Java or Scala development team.
- 8+ years Java experience or 3+ years Scala experience.
- 3+ years experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database.
- Experience with ETL systems, REST APIs, and JSON.
- Proactive with excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in financial services and capital markets preferred.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira/Confluence.
- Some experience with cloud technologies preferred.
