Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented IT Procurement Specialist with expertise in technology procurement and software contract negotiations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and managing the Technology Procurement Plan, driving cost savings through negotiation strategies, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. You will work closely with IT, various business units, Supply Chain, and technology suppliers to deliver value and achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities: Procurement Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain a multi-year Technology Procurement Plan aligned with business needs and IT strategy. Facilitate and support business case justifications for existing software and subscriptions. Work with stakeholders to quantify usage and forecast future requirements. Negotiation and Cost Optimization: Lead negotiations with suppliers and contractors, developing and executing cost reduction and avoidance strategies. Set aggressive but achievable negotiation goals and secure optimal terms. Track contractual obligations and provide summaries to business owners for accountability. Contract Management and Compliance: Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to ongoing monitoring and review. Collaborate with legal to ensure all contracts comply with internal and external regulations. Identify and assess emerging opportunities within the supply chain to maximize value. Relationship Management and Collaboration: Proactively engage with key stakeholders to identify sourcing and contract value opportunities. Develop and manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Support IT in identifying overlapping services and optimizing costs. Performance Measurement and Analysis: Lead a holistic approach to supplier performance measurement, involving users and cross-functional teams. Identify impactful contractual relationships and track realized savings and potential opportunities. Analyze market trends and identify strategic sourcing opportunities.
Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in technology procurement, renewals, or contracting support. Strong understanding of contract negotiation principles and best practices. Proven ability to develop and execute cost-saving strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in MS Office Suite and procurement software.
