Senior KNIME Expert / Automation Engineer

mcpk. is connecting the best European software engineers with IT businesses from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. What makes us different from other IT companies? First of all – our philosophy! We believe that we have two kinds of customers – businesses and developers. So we treat each developer as our customer! Our cooperation is based on one simple principle – you work directly for the company from the DACH region. mcpk., in turn, ensures that everything is functioning well and that you have everything needed for your work, like hardware, insurance, etc. We do not interfere in your daily work as we are big fans of simplicity and transparency.

We are looking for a Senior KNIME Expert / Automation Engineer to join the EU-based team and lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of scal
able automation solutions. Using deep technical expertise in KNIME, you will build production-grade workflows and guide internal teams and customers through complex technical architecture.

Your qualifications:

• Deep technical expertise in the KNIME Analytics Platform and the KNIME Business Hub

• Proven track record of designing scalable data gathering, enrichment, and transformation processes

• Experience in designing production-grade, interactive Data Apps

• Strong communication skills for customer-facing consultation and technical advising

• Solid understanding of workflow governance, scheduling, and collaboration best practices

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating third-party APIs, particularly Google Services APIs

• Programming skills in Python, Java, R, or JavaScript (often used to extend KNIME functionality)

• Experience with enterprise data architecture and web data sources integration

• Familiarity with IT infrastructure within large enterprise environments (like Bosch systems)

Your tasks:

• Design and implement advanced KNIME workflows for data gathering, enrichment, and transformation

• Develop KNIME Data Apps for interactive reporting, dashboards, and self-service automation

• Deploy, configure, and manage solutions in KNIME Business Hub (scheduling, versioning, collaboration, governance)

• Integrate KNIME with Google Services APIs, web data sources, and internal Bosch systems

• Implement workflow orchestration, error handling, and monitoring for production use

• Build re-usable components and templates to accelerate automation projects

• Provide customer-facing consultation: advising on architecture, integration strategies, and solution design

• Optimise workflows for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency

• Document solutions thoroughly and ensure smooth handover

What we offer:

• Full remote job with a flexible schedule

• A long-term B2B contract

• Free English and German lessons

• Compensation paid in EUR

Principles that define us:

• Long-term collaboration. We prioritise building stable, ongoing partnerships with the clients and developers equally, where you can rely on consistent support and a steady work environment, allowing you to work with us for years, not months.

• Professionalism. We know what we do, following best practices, continuously learning, and striving for improvement, always open to new ideas and approaches.

• Integrity and transparency. Our processes are transparent, reliable, and built on mutual respect. We never simplify challenges or misrepresent details, ensuring trust at every step.

• Safe and open environment. We foster a workplace where you are part of a team, and any concerns or issues can be openly addressed without hesitation, ensuring everyone feels heard and supported.

• Flexibility and adaptability. Our flat organisational structure enables quick decision-making, while our flexible approach ensures we can adapt to unique situations and resolve issues efficiently.

If you believe you are a great fit, we would love to explore the opportunity to work with you!
