A well-established boutique law firm is seeking a Senior Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing Anacortes team. With additional offices throughout the Greater Seattle area, the firm offers the close-knit, collaborative environment of a smaller practice backed by an established regional presence and diverse client base.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigator who enjoys a sophisticated and varied practice, with matters spanning real estate, probate, trusts and estates, construction, contract, and business-related disputes. The attorney will have significant autonomy, direct client interaction, and lead responsibility for managing matters from strategy through resolution.

The firm is known for its thoughtful, practical approach to legal problem-solving and for partnering closely with clients to protect their business, property, and financial interests. What You'll Do

  • Take lead on litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial
  • Manage disputes involving real estate, probate, construction, contracts, and other business-related issues
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement documents, and other case materials
  • Represent clients in court, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings
  • Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, evidence strategy, and oral argument
  • Provide strategic legal counsel around risk, exposure, and case outcomes
  • Support clients on related transactional matters when needed, including agreements tied to real estate, development, construction, or business operations
  • Collaborate with internal attorneys and staff to deliver strong client service and practical legal solutions

What You Bring

  • 6-10+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Active Washington State Bar membership in good standing
  • Experience independently managing cases and client relationships
  • Experience in probate, trusts and estates, real estate, construction, and/or business litigation is highly valued
  • Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and shifting priorities
  • Practical, client-focused approach to practicing law
  • Collaborative and steady presence with clients navigating stressful situations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a growing, evolving practice environment.
  • Ability to mentor others and help build processes or structure as the practice expands.
  • Comfortable with or eager to adopt cloud-based and AI-supported legal tools.

Compensation: $140,000–$160,000
