Our client is hiring an experienced Loan Partner / Senior Loan Officer Assistant to support a high-performing mortgage team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
This is a senior-level position ideal for someone who can confidently manage loans from pre-approval through submission while providing an exceptional borrower experience throughout the mortgage process.
The ideal candidate has strong mortgage knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple files while working closely with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and clients.
What You’ll Do
Support loan officers throughout the full loan lifecycle, from pre-approval through submission
Review borrower documentation including income, assets, credit, and liabilities for accuracy and completeness
Calculate income for W-2 and self-employed borrowers in accordance with underwriting guidelines
Run DU/LP findings, review AUS results, and prepare files for submission
Price and structure loan files based on borrower qualifications and investor guidelines
Register and submit loans through lender portals and systems
Prepare and send disclosures while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
Communicate with borrowers, lenders, title companies, and internal teams to ensure smooth loan progression
Track loan milestones, manage pipeline activity, and proactively resolve issues to keep files moving efficiently
Explain loan products, rates, costs, and mortgage processes clearly and professionally to borrowers
3+ years of mortgage industry experience as a Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Processor, Loan Partner, or similar role
Strong understanding of conventional loan programs, Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac guidelines, and experience running DU/LP with the ability to interpret AUS findings
Advanced income calculation experience, including self-employed borrower analysis
Proficiency with LOS systems such as Encompass, Arive, LendingPad, or similar mortgage platforms
Strong communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced mortgage environment
Experience with FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs, broker-to-lender submission workflows, and third-party processing is strongly preferred
NMLS license and bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus
