Job Description - Senior Low Voltage Designer/Project Manager
Position Overview Advantage Point Group, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Senior Low Voltage Designer/Project Manager to design large industrial and/or heavy commercial fire protection, alarm, security, card access and surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of low voltage systems and a strong background in designing access control, security, and emergency response systems.

Key Responsibilities
Design Card Access, Security Access Control, Video Surveillance, and CCTV systems for commercial applications.
Design Fire Alarm, Paging, Evacuation, and Security Systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Estimate project costs, manage projects, obtain bids, and manage system updates, including remodeling, drawing updates, and expanding coverage for existing systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
10 years of experience designing heavy to large commercial low voltage systems (Card Access, Security, CCTV, Paging, and Fire Alarm) required.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred but not required).
Experience with designing and understanding electrical, architectural and construction drawings and blueprints.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to listen, and interact with customers by phone, video and in-person to understand project specifications.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be local to the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area for in-person customer meetings and training.
Automation/controls work is not part of this role.
Some overnight travel required (2-3 days in some quarters)

Pay: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour depending on qualifications and years of experience. Compensation negotiable for the perfect candidate.
