In this position...

This role leads key customer insights projects designed to inform and drive business decisions. The role will involve managing agile teams to convert quantitative data, primary and secondary research, trend scanning, and other sources into insight. It will require strong collaboration across Customer Knowledge Strategy and with partner organizations within Advanced Product Planning and Research (including Trends & Futuring and Global Consumers Insight- Research), and cross-functional partners including Marketing, Customer Experience, Business Units, Design (including Human Centered Design), and Engineering.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
Develop Customer Insight for the Ford Brand and Model e business, particularly for electrification portfolio, strategic decision-making, and related services and experiences.
Directly manage and leverage additional agile resources across the organization.
Lead Development and Use of Market Segmentation Tools, Portfolio Vision Process, Competitive assessment, and Brand Frameworks to identify customer spaces and portfolio choices.
Identify and translate deep customer insights into actionable learnings that inform How-to-Win experience development
Build, Develop, and Maintain core partnership to deliver a robust understanding of our customers across many constituents (e.g. Planning, CMO Office, Business Units, Global Brand, Customer experience, etc.)
Continuously help the team deepen their business acumen and communication skills and develop into Insights professionals. Build a sense of community within the organization.

Qualifications

You'll have...
5-10 years of Marketing/Sales experience; MBA strongly preferred. Electrification, Customer Experience, or other core businesses a plus.
Foundational experience in Customer Knowledge Strategy, Product Marketing, Consumer Marketing, and/or Communications highly desired.
Knowledge of Product Development Processes w/ exceptional ability to conduct data analysis with the intent of identifying key customer insights, and presentation skills with intent to gain support for product guidance at all management levels.
Ability to manage by influence is mandatory.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build and deliver compelling narratives are musts.
Strong analytic skills and the ability to organize and interpret data (both qual and quant) is required. Translation of data into actionable insights that drive the voice-of-customer into product, service, and experience decisions is an essential skill.
Naturally collaboratively approach. This is mandatory as complexity dictates significant cross-functional engagement.
Self-starter with ability to work independently and without significant management oversight, and to manage teams as needed.
Comfortable in leadership settings, including presenting to and debating with Executive Leadership
Empathy for our customers -- ability to set aside personal views and get "in the head" of our customers and advocate on their behalf.
Expert communicator - clear, concise, compelling written and oral communication. Highly capable using electronic / remote communication tools (BlueScape, Web-Ex teams, MS Office suite).
