Senior Manager, Consumer PR

Senior Managers lead sizable client relationships and successful communications strategies, delivering exceptional results and strategic counsel. In addition to account management, senior managers are pivotal to the organization, managing and mentoring team members, contributing to business growth, and ensuring financial excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a communications professional who understands the intersection of food, beverage, and culture, and how brands can authentically show up in consumers’ daily lives.

Key Qualities Include: 

• Ideal candidates have experience working across consumer lifestyle, sports and entertainment brands
• Deep understanding of the evolving food & beverage landscape, including Hispanic consumer trends and culturally relevant storytelling
• Strong media relationships across lifestyle, sports, entertainment, and national press 
• Passion for communicating to Hispanic audiences 

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of award-winning earned media and influencer plans while simultaneously working in an inter agency environment
• Ensure the success of client programming, including campaigns, activations, and partnerships, providing strategic counsel to the team
• Oversee day-to-day client projects to ensure deadline and budget adherence, setting client expectations for the team; is accountable for client satisfaction within all projects managed
• Spearhead campaigns from start to finish owning client strategy, project manage execution and end of campaign recaps focused on results
• Develop strategic earned media and influencer communication plans backed by insights, timelines, and budget estimates
• Support the strategic communications planning process and leads in presenting ideas to the client
• Review and edit media materials – pitches, bios, case studies, backgrounders, and media lists to ensure they are robust and detailed
• Identify potential issues and conflicts and steps in for problem-solving as needed
• Actively contribute to new business processes; assists in the preparation of new business proposals, RFPs, and budgets
• Identify organic new business opportunities from existing clients
• Assist in managing the client's budget, including fees and OOPs
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage projects to maintain profitability and revenue targets, managing the client’s budget, supporting the account lead with effective resource allocation, etc.
• Inspire, manage, evaluate, develop, and mentor employees
• Supervise junior staff to ensure quality and consistency of work
• Provide ongoing constructive feedback on performance, compliance, and ethical business conduct

Requirements

• 7+ years of work experience in a public relations/communications agency
• Experience developing highly successful earned media strategies
• Deep understanding of the Hispanic audience and corresponding media landscape
• Strong media relations expertise
• Excellent client management skills
• Strong organizational, people, and project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
