Senior Manager - Facility Engineering - Hospital environment

Job Summary
Oversee facility engineers to ensure preventative maintenance and repair services for facility equipment (e.g., central plant operations, building management systems, safety systems). Manage complex repair requests and troubleshooting. Ensure regulatory compliance through scheduled maintenance and safety checks. Develop processes to ensure equipment passes safety inspections. Drive vendor management for out-of-scope services and contribute to program-level maintenance goals.

Essential Responsibilities
Team Development: Create developmental opportunities, build cross-functional relationships, and promote a collaborative work environment. Provide feedback, set goals, and offer coaching to improve performance. Hire, train, and develop staff for future growth.

Operational Management: Translate business plans into action items, oversee task completion, and ensure policy compliance. Partner with stakeholders to meet service requirements, align team efforts, and foster accountability.

Facilities Management: Oversee installation and updates of equipment, provide user training, and document equipment details. Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance regulations and manage resource allocation.

Safety Promotion: Ensure equipment safety through inspections and participation in safety control programs. Establish safety processes and maintain documentation in the centralized maintenance system.

Vendor Management: Assess and improve vendor performance, manage relationships, and enhance vendor maintenance efficiency through training and process optimization.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical disciplines in Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or related field AND years of experience in Engineering, Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or a directly related field OR years of experience in Engineering, Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or a directly related field.
