Job Description - Senior Manager, Finance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain - Somerset, NJ

Senior Finance Manager, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations\n\nLocation: (Somerset, NJ or Port Newark, NJ )\n\nWe are seeking a financial partner for a Perfumery manufacturing site. The candidate will work on a daily basis as a partner of the plant manager and the local management team and will provide advice and direction on all financial aspects that have impacts on the plant performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Serve as \u201csingle point of contact\u201d for the Plant management team in providing the necessary business support required in all aspects of supply chain related activities such as management of expenses, investments/ divestments (CAPEX), working capital optimization, cost savings and productivity improvements and other local initiatives and strategies.\n * Play a critical role in challenging local Plant management team or provide appropriate recommendations.\n * Actively participate on continuous improvement process, drive the Budget and Forecast processes, and collaborate with other cross-divisional controllers (Logistics, Purchasing, R\u0026D and Support Functions) to analyze performance and review costs\n * Ensure the reliability and pertinence of product costing, provide the detailed monthly variance analysis of Cost of Goods Manufactured and Sold, and provide cost/kg analysis on regular basis and leverage benchmarking within the group to optimize productivity\n * Monitor inventories, its trend evolution, and support the local Plant management team in optimizing or reducing the plant inventories and month on hand, perform the scorecards analysis review with other supply chain controller(s), and ensure compliance with the standard corporate policies and financial controls.\n\n\n\nWe Bring:\n\n * Unique career paths across health, nutrition and beauty - explore what drives you and get the support to make it happen\n * Robust benefits package including flexible work model\n * A chance to impact millions of consumers every day \u2013 sustainability embedded in all we do\n * A science led company, cutting edge research and creativity everywhere \u2013 from biotech breakthroughs to sustainability game-changers\n * Growth that keeps up with you \u2013 you join an industry leader that will develop your expertise and leadership\n * Culture that allows you to live your purpose, values creativity, and diversity.\n * Opportunity to work for a company that cares about environment and sets and achieve ambitious sustainability objectives and be part of a company shaping a strong legacy through breakthrough industrial innovations and technology.\n\n\n\nYou Bring:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field.\n * 5 years or more of work experience in manufacturing cost accounting / controlling with relevant experience in product cost accounting\n * Experience in SAP preferred, advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills\n * Experience partnering closely with plant leadership to identify cost\u2011saving opportunities and improve financial performance\n * Proven track record of influencing cross\u2011functional leaders (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering) to drive financial discipline and operational improvement\n * Strong leadership presence with the ability to communicate complex financial insights to both financial and non\u2011financial stakeholders\n\n\n\nThe salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant\u2019s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided.
