Come be a part of what\u2019s next.\n\nSenior Manager, Franchise Planning- Kids \u0026 Family\n\nAbout the Team\n\nThe Franchise Planning team at Netflix is responsible for developing the long-term strategy and roadmap for key films and series across all fan touchpoints, in close cross-functional partnership both inside and outside the organization. Our goal is to drive long-term impact and value, define business objectives and opportunities, strengthen franchise moments, and deepen love for our stories.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking for a Senior Manager, Franchise Planning \u2013 Animation \u0026 Kids \u0026 Family to join the team. As a key team member and a passionate champion of our animated and kids \u0026 family brands, you will develop holistic franchise plans with internal and external stakeholders\u2014always advocating for what is in the best long-term interest of the franchise and its audiences.\n\nYour work will guide intentional connectivity across all plans (short-term and long-term) and across all consumer touchpoints\u2014from content and marketing to consumer products, publishing, games, live experiences, and more.\n\nThe ideal candidate brings deep experience in animation and/or kids \u0026 family content, has a strong understanding of how to build and sustain franchises, and is passionate about world-building and character universes. This is a critical and fast-moving role that requires a proactive, creative, and growth-oriented thinker\u2014someone who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities, is self-motivated and entrepreneurial, communicates clearly, and exercises strong judgment.\n\nSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\n * Define Long-Term Franchise Vision. Develop a vision and 5+ year strategy across all potential lines of business \n\n * Drive Cross Functional Franchise Strategy. Act as a thought partner for cross-functional leaders (e.g. content, title marketing leads, consumer products, live experiences, publishing, games) on strategy, consumer insights, \u0026 go-to-market execution. Making recommendations for the franchise roadmap, maximizing alignment across content, merchandise, publishing, experiences, games, marketing, social media, and other potential opportunities.\n\n * Drive Franchise Integrity. Define and maintain franchise integrity across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency in world-building, character representation, tone, and values. Partner with marketing to provide context and guidelines to cross-functional teams to ensure that every extension feels authentic and on-brand.\n\n * Develop \u0026 Nurture IP Extensions. Support, guide, and ideate new IP, project ideas and opportunities (e.g. books, games, marketing ideas, partnerships, etc.) \n\n * Make Meaningful Franchise Moments. Identify key beats and catalyze concepts beyond title launch to form an always-on calendar approach that drives strategic priorities and deepens fan engagement\n\n * Creator \u0026 Partner Collaboration. Communicate with creators / required partners for plans, approvals, market trends and new opportunities for franchise related plans. Share context and updates on plans with all global cross functional partners.\n\n * Innovate \u0026 Drive Impact. Push for innovation in how we build, scale, and commercialize animated and kids \u0026 family franchises. Supporting decisions around partner selection, product development, retail and licensing strategies, live experiences, and other strategic partnerships to maximize impact and brand integrity\n\n * Sharpen Audience aim. Collaborate with CI to deepen audience insights that optimize franchise plans and identify growth opportunities \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nGenerally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $317,000.00 - $496,000.00.\n\nNetflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
