Summary:
Oversees activities of the education programs for the Graduate Medical Education team. Manages the oversight of program activities, tracking and leveraging survey results to identify trends, monitor performance, and highlight areas for improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides strategic leadership to Medical Education team members and management by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
2. Works on moderately complex matters where analysis of issues, data, processes, and situations require an in-depth knowledge of objectives in aligned areas as well as in-depth industry and technical knowledge.
3. Responsible for acquiring and managing staffing appropriately for department(s) and collaborating with HR to fulfill requirements.
4. Manages the day-to-day operational activities of assigned GME programs, ensuring efficient program administration and effective team execution.
5. Prepares for site visits and program accreditation reviews.
6. Collaborates with various teams to ensure compliance with federal regulations and requirements set forth by Northwell Healthcare are met.
7. Manages and monitors departmental and program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and optimal resource allocation for GME activities and projects.
8. Uses knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of functional objectives and principles to achieve goals in innovative ways. Problems addressed are of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
9. Oversees initial appointment, reappointment, transfer and termination processes for residents and fellows. Collaborates with various teams to ensure compliance with federal regulations and requirements set forth by Northwell Healthcare are met.

Education Skills Experience:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
2. 6-10 years of relevant experience and 5-7 years of leadership/management experience, preferred.ï
3. All licensures and certifications needed for function and level, if any.
