The Impact You Will Have:
The Senior Manager, People Services Operations is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for enabling efficient, scalable, and high-quality People Services delivery across the enterprise. This role manages a small team, oversees Workday Position Management administration, and partners closely with Finance, HR IT, and Reporting & Analytics to ensure data integrity, budget alignment, and operational excellence. The Senior Manager drives operational improvement initiatives, leads projects and change efforts, and builds sustainable processes that support Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COEs) and evolving business needs.
What You Will Do:
- Directly manage and develop People Services Operations team members, including goal setting, performance management, coaching, and professional development, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric service delivery.
- Own and oversee Workday Position Management operations, including position creation, position attribute changes, system administration of organizational changes, position clean-up, and ongoing auditing to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Establish strong governance and controls for employees and position data integrity across the employee lifecycle.
- Partner closely with PS Talent Management, QTS Finance and FP&A to ensure alignment between Workday positions, approved budgets, headcount plans, and financial forecasts.
- Serve as a key liaison between People Services Operations, and other People Services organizations, along with Finance on position-related inquiries, impacts, and reporting.
- Design and implement a Tier 1 transaction and administrative support model to centralize, standardize, and optimize high-volume, tactical People Services activities.
- Identify opportunities to aggregate transactional work to improve consistency, turnaround time, and employee experience.
- Define intake processes, service catalogs, Service Level Agreements, and escalation paths to clearly differentiate Tier 1 transactional work from Tier 2/3 advisory and specialist support.
- Lead operational improvement initiatives across People Services, focusing on process efficiency, scalability, automation, and quality of data creation.
- Apply process improvement methodologies to assess current-state operations, identify gaps, and design future-state solutions.
- Build repeatable, well-documented processes that support global consistency while allowing for local or regulatory variation.
- Establish metrics and dashboards in partnership with the Reporting and Analytics team to monitor service performance, workload, cycle times, and outcomes.
- Provide end-to-end project management for People Services initiatives, including scope definition, work planning, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and delivery tracking.
- Serve as a trusted consultant to HR COEs and business stakeholders on operational design, project execution, and continuous improvement practices.
- Work closely with the HR IT team to support Workday enhancements, integrations, testing, and production support related to People Services Operations.
- Partner with the Reporting and Analytics team to define requirements, validate data, and enable actionable insights.
What You Will Need to be Successful (basic qualifications):
- Six - Seven years of progressive experience in HR operations, shared services, people systems, or a related operational role.
- Two or more years directly supervising employees in an HR Operations capacity, managing with a high attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field, or relevant work experience
- Strong experience with Workday, particularly Position Management and related downstream impacts.
Other Key Skills
- Proven ability to partner effectively with Finance, FP&A, and HR technology teams.
- Solid project management and change management experience, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Ability to drive change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes, tools, and operating models.
