The Senior Manager, Strategic Business Development, has overall responsibility for developing and executing strategies designed to significantly grow the business.
What you’ll do at Insight
●
Execute business development strategies that successfully achieve revenue and gross profit goals.
●
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of business development, systems, costs and results.
●
Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
●
Monitor and analyze business development activity against goals.
●
Analyze the competitive landscape and strategically develop and lead a business development strategy that consistently beats the competition.
●
Ensure the Insight brand achieves optimal market penetration and is recognized as a global industry leader by key brokers, decision makers, clients and partners.
●
Effectively manage business development budget including revenue, gross profit and expense targets. Set financial growth targets, build and manage the proper infrastructure to promote strong financial management, tracking and reporting systems.
●
Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
●
Lead and manage the business development staff including directing business development efforts, performance managing staff to a specific business development quota, coaching, team building, goal setting, and professional development.
●
Recruit, hire, manage and develop a world-class business development organization.
●
Provide leadership and direction in the development of the business development compensation structure, ensuring consistency and fairness throughout. Recommend improvements to the existing compensation structure to better motivate and reward business development staff for the desired performance
●
Additional duties as assigned.
●
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the business segment.
●
Develop strategy and implement objectives in accordance with the organization's policies and local applicable laws.
●
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
What you’ll need to join Insight
●
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; MBA is highly desirable
●
10-12 years in business development management in a high-tech or service-related industry.
●
Must possess strong leadership skills in teamwork and communication across multiple organizations.
●
Must have a strong knowledge of IT products and services.
●
Must be able to show a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
●
Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and changing management. Knowledge of structuring business development quota goals and gross profit/revenue expectations.
●
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
●
Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
●
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
