Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Eaton\u2019s Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This position is based in Santa Ana, CA.\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $99000 - $145000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n \n\u2022 Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including Value Stream Mapping, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, 5s+, work instructions, etc. \n\u2022 Evaluate, analyze and improve operations and engineering processes using fundamentally sound manufacturing principles to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and quality. \n\u2022 Initiate, develop and lead capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups. \n\u2022 Foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the business by creating, leading and communicating opportunities for quality, productivity, flow and safety improvement. \n\u2022 Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products. \n\u2022 Other duties as assigned\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution \n\u2022 Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering function \n\u2022 Minimum 1 year of experience using AutoCAD and Solid Works system \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. (Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation). \n \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a high mix / low volume manufacturing or engineer to order manufacturing environment \n\u2022 Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution \n\u2022 Experience with MRP systems (SAP) \n\u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications \n\u2022 Experience with Microsoft Project\n\n * Experience on Sustaining Production.\n * Experience on Troubleshooting technical issues.\n * Experience working on Corrective Actions.\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems. \n\u2022 Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology. \n\u2022 Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment \n\u2022 Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions \n\u2022 Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results \n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
