Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Technician responsible for timely and quality assembly of motion controlled engineered systems projects.

Essential Functions:

· Work with Engineers to quote projects

· Assist with material selection

· Assemble wide variety of products to exceed customers’ expectations of quality

· Test systems

· Support startups and field commissions as necessary

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Industrial expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics and electromechanical systems

· Experience in building and repairing hydraulic power units, hydraulic filter carts, and hydraulic or pneumatic test benches.

· Knowledgeable in a wide range of hydraulic components and systems including pumps, cylinders, valves, and much more.

· Skills with and understanding of safe operation with electrical assemblies

· Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings

· Skills to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

· Demonstrated dependability

· Demonstrated adherence to all safety regulations and a culture of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing

· Welding Certification in MIG and TIG welding

· Ability to cut/strip wires and tubing, to specified lengths and tolerances, and add

specified ID labels

· Experience in tube fabrication, bending and end conditioning

· Experience with metal fabrication

· Able to train and sign off on training completion

· Good math and reading skills

· 8 years industrial experience with hydraulic systems (Fluid Power Certification is preferred)

· Other duties as assigned

Environment:

· Manufacturing facility

· Requires employee to spend the majority of his or her time on foot, lifting, bending, standing and carrying items

· Required safety shoes and glasses

· Light travel to customer facilities

· Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally

· Driver’s license required

Education:

· High school diploma or GED

· 2-year or 4-year degree in a specialized area a plus
