Akerman LLP is seeking a Senior Marketing Technology Manager. The Senior Martech Manager leads the firm's marketing technology initiatives, leveraging data analytics and automated marketing systems to drive business development strategies and enhance client engagement. This senior role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and digital execution, providing the firm with competitive advantages through data-driven insights and technological solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Leadership
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing technology strategies aligned with the firm's business objectives
Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of marketing technology platforms to support the firm's marketing and business development efforts
Serve as the primary advisor to Marketing and BD leadership on technology-enabled marketing strategies
Collaborate with practice group leaders to develop data-driven approaches to client development
Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, software agreements and marketing technology platform negotiations
Marketing Systems Management
Oversee the firm's marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, email marketing, content management, SEO, and social media platforms
Ensure seamless integration between marketing systems and other firm technologies
Create efficient workflows and automation to maximize marketing effectiveness
Evaluate emerging marketing technologies and recommend strategic investments
Data Analytics and Insights
Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to measure marketing effectiveness
Analyze marketing campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations
Translate complex data into meaningful insights for attorneys and firm leadership
Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions
Content and Digital Presence Optimization
Guide the optimization of the firm's digital presence, including website, email campaigns, and social media
Ensure content strategy aligns with SEO best practices and audience engagement metrics
Develop segmentation strategies to deliver targeted content to specific client audiences
Monitor and report on content performance across all digital channels
Training and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Train marketing team members on effective use of marketing technology tools
Serve as the liaison between Marketing/BD departments and IT on technology matters
Collaborate with practice groups to align marketing technology with business development initiatives
Partner with external vendors to ensure optimal performance of marketing platforms
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree: Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
7+ years of experience in marketing with significant focus on marketing systems and analytics
Experience working within professional services, preferably legal industry
Proven track record of implementing and managing marketing technology platforms
Knowledge and Skills
Deep understanding of marketing automation, CRM systems, and analytics platforms
Strong data analysis capabilities with ability to translate findings into actionable strategies
Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Superior communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Strategic mindset with focus on driving business outcomes through marketing initiatives
Proficiency with AI-powered marketing tools for content creation, optimization, analytics, and automation (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, Clearscope, HubSpot AI, Canva AI)
Understanding of AI integration strategies, ethical AI usage, and data privacy implications in legal marketing contexts
Technical Proficiency
Expertise in CRM systems (e.g., InterAction, Salesforce) and email marketing platforms
Proficiency with content management systems and digital marketing tools
Knowledge of SEO principles and website analytics
Understanding of data visualization and reporting tools
Familiarity with marketing automation and campaign management systems
