In this role, you will interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements, drive certification strategies, and work closely with internal teams, certification bodies, and government agencies to ensure our products meet global market access requirements. This role requires strong regulatory expertise, technical depth, and the ability to lead complex, cross-functional certification programs.

  • Work directly with government agencies, notified bodies, and regulatory authorities to clarify requirements and define test cases where standards are ambiguous or not directly applicable to humanoid robots.

  • Lead investigation and resolution of certification test failures and compliance issues.

  • Develop and execute certification strategies and schedules to support product delivery timelines.

  • Build and manage internal and external resources to support battery and materials certification activities.

  • Own labeling requirements related to batteries and regulated materials and lead implementation plans.

  • Develop, maintain, and review certification documentation, test reports, and compliance evidence.

  • Manage relationships with certification laboratories and testing partners.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a battery and/or materials compliance engineering role.

  • Strong working knowledge of global materials regulations including California Prop 65, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and Conflict Minerals.

  • Experience planning, executing, and supporting certification testing programs.

  • Experience working directly with certification and compliance laboratories.

  • Strong experience with requirements management, certification documentation, and compliance report generation.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):

  • Experience building or scaling an internal certification or compliance test laboratory.

  • Familiarity with materials characterization and compliance test equipment such as SEM-EDX, FTIR, XRF, ICP-MS / ICP-AES, GC/MS, and Ion Chromatography (IC).
