Job Description - Senior Medicare Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for the training and retention of a team of licensed Medicare agents, must be oriented and trained prior to the annual enrollment period each year.
The Senior Sales Manager requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s)
Monitoring low performers to ensure minimum performance expectations are met.
Develop a fully documented process guide for receiving inquiries, prospecting leads, writing, servicing and auditing policies.
Work with IT to create a Medicare Agent portal to record all policies written and track agent activity
Works with management and licensed P&C agents to create referral system to add Medicare products to clients’ existing coverage.
Works with IT department to manage live leads database to track and manage high volume of incoming leads.
Ensures all policies are written and entered correctly while handling underwriting questions and issues with carrier websites.
Point person for appointments with health insurance carriers
Manages scheduling, time off, and ensures coverage during Medicare sales operating hours.
Follows up with agents with reminders regarding any audits.
Ensures quality of service provided by agents by checking e-mail correspondence, recorded phone calls, and auditing in-person service.
Answers all calls, texts, and emails from agents and corporate support in a timely manner.
Tracks and monitors agent attendance, coaches on absence and tardiness as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
In this role you be responsible for leading a team of career sales agents and more generally a large contingent of independent/contracted agents to achieve sales/membership growth targets for your team’s aligned territories.
Key Requirements
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a manager and licensed Medicare Agent in the state of Michigan.
Vast knowledge of the medicare insurance industry.
Effective at multi-tasking and prioritization.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers.
Experience working in a high volume, high energy, fast-paced sales environment.
Experience in prospecting, cultivating, and maintaining new and existing relationships with employees and customers alike.
Education
Active life and health lines license as a resident producer for the state of Michigan
AHIP certification
High School diploma or GED.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
