Schedule: Monday to Friday Day shift

The Senior Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing counseling, education and case management to clients as a member of a multidisciplinary Palliative Care team. Additionally, this role is assigned additional leadership and mentoring duties to support and to promote growth and increased quality for clients and other Caregivers. Assists leadership in the develop and maintenance of program processes and group curriculum. The Senior Mental Health Counselor demonstrates advanced clinical skills and serves as a resource for other clinicians and exemplifies the Providence Core Values.

Required qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health related field.
  • Upon hire: Alaska Masters Social Worker License OR Alaska Clinical Social Worker License OR Alaska Psychologist License OR Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License OR Alaska Professional Counselor License.
  • Upon hire: Basic Life Support (Facility Managed)
  • 5 years clinical experience
