About the Role

As a Senior Metallurgist, you will take the lead in day-to-day operations, focusing on safe production practices, plant optimization, metal accounting, and troubleshooting within the process department. Your contributions will help ensure the success of our operations while maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, ore control, metallurgical/assay labs, and other departments to ensure seamless, safe, and environmentally compliant plant operations.

• Lead and manage projects, overseeing engineering, forecasting, funding, construction, and commissioning phases.

• Provide technical expertise and analysis to support process stakeholders, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.

• Research, analyze, and resolve operational, environmental, and compliance challenges to ensure optimal plant performance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related process-focused discipline.

• Experience: 5–8 years in a processing plant; experience with heap leaching, milling processes, and process control systems is preferred.

• Skills:

  • Proven ability to research, analyze data, and implement solutions for operational and environmental challenges.

  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Proficiency in multiple software applications and network platforms.

• Attributes: Strong team player with the ability to inspire and lead, coupled with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
