Region 1 Senior New England OSHA Outreach Training Assistant serves regional authorized OSHA Outreach Trainers. The position administers support for over 1,500 OSHA Outreach Trainers and 40,000 + adult students in the Outreach Program (Region 1). The Senior New England OSHA Outreach Training Assistant administers to the outreach training portal that electronically generates and processes trainer course requests for distribution of Dept of Labor cards for participants completing 10- and 30-hour Outreach safety training in areas such as Construction, General Industry, Maritime and Disaster Site Worker. The position provides leadership and support to Outreach Trainers, and reviews class records for complete and accurate documentation. Additional duties include marketing, credential management and product line management.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Outreach Trainer Manager (40%)
Provides leadership and support to Outreach Trainers, and reviews class records for complete and accurate documentation.
Verifies records to ensure collection of Dept of Labor card fee via the electronic portal by credit card payment.
Responsible for valid reissuing of replacement cards for lost and stolen DOL cards.
Resolves outreach trainer questions, and provides in class training for new OSHA Outreach Trainers.
Manages revenue from the Outreach Training Program cards - $320,000.00 based on 40,000 students.
Direct Customer service and supervision to OSHA Outreach Trainers regarding the portal usage and frequently asked questions via phones and emails.
Point person for federal DOL OSHA accountable for audits supporting the Program Director to provide full and accurate information in the event of federal OSHA or solicitor investigations.
Maintains card count inventory for Outreach Trainer Cards.
Organizes and maintains all trainers' course records for a period of 5 years.
Generates and submits monthly reports to USDOL OSHA Directorate of Training and Education.
Assists with evaluating background experiences for enrollment in Outreach Trainer courses.
Conducts 200+ records audits of Outreach Trainer's course documentation and rosters, per USDOL OSHA program requirements.
Audits Outreach Trainers compliance with policy and procedures.
Educates new and updating outreach trainers through classroom presentations.
Coordinates on-site outreach observations, and Outreach Training Program Reports reviews.
Attends biannual meetings of the Directorate of Training and Education (DTE/OSHA).
Marketing Coordinator (25%)
Create, schedule, deliver and analyze all Outreach Trainer webinars.
Outreach Trainer Newsletter - create, deliver and analyze a monthly newsletter to promote to the 1,500 plus Outreach Trainers in New England.
Schedule and attend safety conferences and shows throughout New England to promote the OTIEC.
Graphic Design - perform light graphic design work on promotional and collateral material.
Product Line Manager (25%)
Manage 10 OSHA Outreach Trainer and OSHA Standards courses from implementation through analytics.
Schedule facilities and maintain facility use agreements.
Schedule instructors.
Manage compensation and create contracts for instructors - execute payments through Workday.
Maintain schedule on the website through WordPress platform.
Implement marketing levers to promote courses.
Analyze effectiveness of schedule and deploy changes as necessary.
Credential Manager General Industry, Industrial Hygiene, Entertainment (10%)
Manage credential programs for construction from implementation to analytics.
Includes Safety and Health Specialist for Construction and Certified Safety and Health Official for Construction.
Update curriculum as needed.
Implement marketing levers to promote credentials.
Review transcripts, approve final delivery of credentials and schedule award presentations.
Promote award presentations through social media.
Analyze credential KPI’s and deploy changes as necessary.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
High school graduation and two years of related experience involving duties of increasing responsibility requiring discretion and independent judgment, or a combination of higher education and related experience equal to two years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Completion of courses in related subjects at the college/university level.
Supervisory experience.
Experience in a college/university work.

Compensation Pay Range:
