Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Financial Performance
- Executive Leadership: Serve as the CEO's right-hand operations lead, providing leadership as needed. Participate in setting Short, Medium, and Long-Term company goals and strategy planning.
- EOS Implementation: Drive the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) execution, ensuring accountability and traction across the organization.
- Profitability & Exit Strategy: Partner with the CEO to position the business for a high-multiple exit within 5-7 years.
- Cost Optimization: relentless focus on the bottom line. Lead initiatives to reduce Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by 10-15% and optimize the cost structure to target gross margins.
2. Manufacturing & Facility Build-Out
- In-House Manufacturing: Lead the setup, growth, and operations of our liquid and tea production lines at the new Eldorado facility.
- Facility Optimization: oversee facility optimization and growth (U-flow zoning, vertical racking) to maximize efficiency.
- Compliance & Certifications: Drive FDA/DSHS compliance and ensure the facility meets compliance for NSF, SQF, cGMP, and Organic certifications.
- ERP Implementation: Oversee the continued integration of our ERP system across manufacturing, warehousing, and fulfillment.
3. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Inventory Logic: Execute strategies to increase inventory turns and improve cash flow.
- Forecasting: Lead demand forecasting to eliminate Out-of-Stocks (OOS) while managing product discontinuation and scrap execution (Targeting a lean catalog reduction by 50%, resulting in <60 Active SKUs).
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with COA-verified organic suppliers to ensure quality and price stability.
- Fulfillment Excellence: Oversee all D2C (Shopify, Amazon) and B2B fulfillment, achieving shipping standards and freight efficiencies.
4. Team Management
- People Leadership: Hire, train, and manage remote team leads and on-site warehouse/manufacturing staff.
- Accountability: Develop and drive team KPIs and "Rocks," ensuring alignment with the broader company strategy.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 7-10+ years in Operations Leadership within the CPG, Dietary Supplement, or Food & Beverage industry.
- Regulatory Expert: Deep knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 111, cGMP, and organic certification requirements. You have been through audits before.
- Financial Acumen: You understand P&L, COGS, Gross Margin, and Cash Flow. You make decisions based on data, not gut feeling.
- The "Builder" Mindset: You aren't just maintaining a machine; you are building one. You are comfortable with the chaos of a facility build-out and the structure of a small business with a growth-minded strategy.
