Responsible for the management and performance of assigned Operations Supervisors and Customer Service Specialists. Oversees the scheduling and dispatch of drivers and commercial vehicles for conveyance of material while ensuring that the operation complies with a variety of federal and state laws that regulate the trucking and transportation industry, including the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Senior Operations Supervisor assists the Senior Operations Manager in assignments as needed.
Senior Operations Supervisor is responsible for all assigned Operations Supervisors and Customer Service Specialists, drivers, and commercial equipment
Oversees driver dispatch and attendance
Tracks customer pickups and deliveries throughout the process
Monitors trailer pool; anticipate needs and arrange maintenance as needed
Coordinate vehicle repairs with Maintenance Department to minimize the down-time and insure availability of sufficient equipment to answer customers’ needs
Insures the implementation of corporate policies and procedures
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Actively coach and assist team members to ensure a common vision and team understanding of the critical role they play in TLD strategy and business practices
Recommends actions to increase productivity or profitability.
Conducts investigations and audits as assigned
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred
5+ years’ experience in logistics or transportation
1 year experience in a supervisor or equivalent role (preferred)
Competency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent geographical knowledge
Good Organizational, verbal and written skills a must.
