The Basics as a Senior Operations Support Specialist:

  • Located at HQ
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Flexibility required - extended hours, based on company needs

What you'll do as a Senior Operations Support Specialist: 

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex operational functions under the guidance of the Operations Support Manager - Operations Support Services. This position involves a heightened level of responsibility, including leadership in specific areas and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specialized Administration:

  • Lead and supervise the administration of IRA/HSA accounts and medallion signature guarantee processes.
  • Manage repo checks and coordinate the resolution of complex issues related to accounts.
  • Monitor ATM replenishments to include data analysis and cash management.

Compliance Oversight: 

  • Oversee the handling of subpoena requests, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
  • Play a key role in managing account restrictions, including the placement and removal of restrictions on new accounts.

Audit and Reporting:

  • Conduct thorough audits of accounts, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements based on EOM branch reports.

Technology Integration:

  • Lead the implementation and oversight of technology-driven processes, such as Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).
  • Collaborate with Information Technology team to address technological advancements and challenges in the operational domain.

Training and Mentorship:

  • Provide training and mentorship to Operations Support Specialists, ensuring a high level of competence and adherence to procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for procedural writers, contributing to the development and refinement of operational guidelines.

Other:

  • Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures. The BSA training is to be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.
  • Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must-Have as a Senior Operations Support Specialist: 

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction handling. Strong productivity, problem-solving, organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in using relevant technology and software.
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience in a credit union or bank. Preferred education can substitute for up to 2 years of experience on an equivalent year-for-year basis.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • License/Certification: Texas Notary Public required -or- must be appointed as a Texas Notary Public within 60 days of hire.

Nice to haves for a Senior Operations Support Specialist

  • Education: Associate’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
