Senior Operator, Production\n\nLocation: Belvidere, NJ\n\nOnsite\n\nAs a Senior Operator, you will be responsible for operating blending/packaging/storage tank equipment related to material handling and movements within the production operations in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, and production schedules. \n\nYou will also be responsible for operating and monitoring equipment and process to produce quality chemical intermediates and finished products to a pre-determined operations plan. Provides troubleshooting expertise. Identifies equipment/process problems/ improvement opportunities and communicates findings as appropriate. Makes necessary adjustments to react to process changes or to optimize process performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Operates storage, blending, milling, and packaging equipment to prepare and transfer materials to production through to finished goods inventory. Performs a variety of material handling equipment necessary for the safe and efficient movement of raw/in-process materials and finished goods.\n * Operates and monitors equipment and process to produce quality chemical intermediates and finished products to a pre-determined operations plan. Provides troubleshooting expertise. Identifies equipment/process problems/ improvement opportunities and communicates findings as appropriate. Makes necessary adjustments to react to process changes or to optimize process performance. \n * Monitor DCS and take action as required to control the process. Guide the field operator in his part of the production process. \n * Provides input to Department Management Staff to assist with nonconformance investigations and prepares associated documentation. Evenings/weekends/holidays/night shifts/day shifts required.\n * Knowledge of mechanical equipment functionality \n * Ability to work outside of scheduled shifts.\n * Ability to perform the physical requirements of duties in the assigned work area that can include the ability to safely lift up to 50lbs, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and frequent use of stairs.\n\n\n\nThe salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant\u2019s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.
