The Senior Outreach and Admissions Recruitment Specialist supports the OA/CTS Manager and the OA department in the achievement of center enrollment goals by conducting outreach and recruitment activities in compliance with PRH, DOL, and center policy requirements. This position builds and maintains relationships with community organizations, schools, and agencies to identify eligible candidates, guides applicants through the enrollment process, and helps ensure recruitment practices align with contractual and performance standards.
Brief Description of Duties
Leadership & Program Development
Lead innovative outreach strategies with public service agencies, community organizations, schools, and individuals to identify and refer eligible candidates to the Job Corps program
Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of service delivery to prospects, applicants, and students; prepare related reports
Review completed application files for quality control and data integrity to ensure eligibility and PRH requirements are met; assist in maintaining a quality control log.
Mentor, train, and provide guidance to outreach staff on admissions and recruitment best practices and PRH requirements
Recruitment, Enrollment, & Retention
Interview interested applicants and gather pertinent information as outlined by the PRH
Collect documentation and complete application files on prospective students and review with the center as applicable or necessary
Arrange for and assist in providing pre-enrollment orientation and schedule center tours
Maintain monthly enrollment goals established by the National Enrollee Assignment Plan (NEAP) and management
Support and assist the center with student retention efforts to promote student success and program completion.
Community & Network Engagement
Build and maintain networks with youth development agencies, one-stop centers, churches, and community organizations to establish a broad recruitment base
Introduce and analyze labor market information with applicants to support career development, transition planning, and informed career path decisions.
Reporting & Documentation
Utilize Excel and Google Workspace applications to create and maintain accurate spreadsheets and reports; strong working knowledge of these platforms is required for this role.
Prepare necessary and required reports related to outreach activities and departmental performance
Student Development & Support
Model, mentor, and monitor appropriate Career Success Standards
Help students become more employable through continuous reinforcement
Compliance & Organizational Standards
Follow the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily
Work toward and consistently meet performance standard goals
Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Serrato policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures
Participate in all PRH-mandated staff training; failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
Maintain good housekeeping standards and comply with all safety practices
Adhere to required property control policies and procedures
Demonstrate and uphold Serrato Corporation's core values and operating principles
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and counsel prospective students.
Experience
Two years related experience. Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth development programs.
Education
Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience.
