As a Platform Engineer at Ataccama, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and transforming our product into a more scalable and efficient Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.

• Achieve Production Readiness: Facilitates engineering teams in attaining their SLOs by embedding in delivery teams, establishing best telemetry practices, and contributing to operational handbooks and incident management.
• Bridge Development and Operations: Streamlines end-to-end delivery, improving deployment/testing tooling, and establishing Helm best practices. Synchronises development cycles with operational environments, providing actionable technical product architecture proposals and pitching crucial re-architectures or platform improvements.
• Foster a Conducive Dev/Test Environment: Constructs an environment that mirrors production, ensuring seamless development and testing with the necessary tooling.
• Automates What Can Be Automated: If there’s a process, dev, test, release or operation - that can be automated, the engineer ensures either by himself or by facilitating work with others - that it’s done so.
• Enhance Reliability: Hands-on work with delivery teams to monitor SLAs/SLOs and implement improvements in reliability.
• Drive Organizational Improvement: Engages with delivery teams to pinpoint and remedy pain points, creating a more successful engineering organization.
• Advance Skillset & Transition: Elevates the technical skills of delivery teams and sets clear interfaces between engineering deliverables and infrastructure operators.

• "You build it you run it" and "Automate everything" mentality
• 3+ yrs. of experience with DevOps, Continuous Delivery
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi or others
• Must have hands-on experience with operating Cloud services at scale
• Comfortable with writing python & go scripts
• Exhibits immense patience and assertiveness
• Ensures consistent, transparent communication across all teams
• Independently deploys, runs, and debugs (to the operation extend) the Ataccama platform (important experience with dev to production delivery experience, not only ops)
• Creates durable solutions for production problems through monitoring and automation
• Establishes effective and meaningful production monitoring and alerting
• Prevents becoming a bottleneck in technical and communication aspects
• Effectively unites teams over common issues without conflict
• Inspires and educates, setting achievable yet challenging operational standards
