Summary


Ensure dealership lot operations, vehicle presentation, and inventory movement are executed efficiently and professionally. The Senior Lot Attendant supports the Sales Department by maintaining vehicle readiness, coordinating vendor work, and ensuring the dealership lot and inventory remain organized and presentation‑ready at all times. This role also provides additional operational oversight of porter functions and assists with inventory management support tasks.  This role includes basic merchandising functions including taking and uploading inventory pictures for website display.


 


Essential Duties


The Senior Lot Attendant ensures the dealership lot, inventory, and vehicle logistics operate smoothly. This includes organizing inventory vehicles, coordinating vendor services, maintaining lot presentation standards, and supporting vehicle movement between dealership locations.


 


Key Duties



  • Oversight and coordination of porter activities

  • Maintain dealership lot presentation and vehicle organization

  • Support inventory management processes

  • Coordinate vendor work for cosmetic and reconditioning services

  • Maintain vehicle information accuracy in inventory systems

  • Identify and communicate inventory or lot issues to management

  • Take photos of inventory vehicles for online display


 


General Porter Responsibilities



  • Maintain dealership lot appearance and organization

  • Move and stage vehicles throughout the lot as needed

  • Gas vehicles for delivery, display, or transport

  • Transport vehicles between dealership locations and the Annex reconditioning facility

  • Assist with sold vehicle preparation and delivery readiness

  • Install window stickers, addendums, and buyer’s guides as needed

  • Ensure vehicles are parked in proper inventory locations

  • Check vehicle batteries and maintain vehicle readiness

  • Assist with vehicle handovers between Sales and Service departments

  • Perform general lot maintenance and cleanliness

  • Conduct Weekly lot counts, cross-checking the physical lot, website, and inventory management system to ensure accuracy.


 


Porter Oversight (When Assigned)



  • Oversee daily porter tasks and vehicle movement priorities

  • Monitor completion of assigned tasks and ensure timely execution

  • Maintain communication with porter team regarding vehicle movement and priorities

  • Provide feedback to management regarding porter workload and operational needs


 


Lot Checks & Vehicle Presentation



  • Conduct daily lot walks to ensure proper vehicle line‑up and presentation

  • Ensure window stickers and buyers guides are present and properly placed

  • Verify window tint installation accuracy on new vehicles

  • Identify damage, missing keys, or presentation issues and report promptly

  • Ensure vehicles are correctly located and accessible for sales staff and customers


 


Vendor Coordination



  • Serve as dealership point of contact for cosmetic and reconditioning vendors

  • Coordinate vendor access to vehicles on the lot

  • Monitor completion of vendor work including dents, wheels, glass, cosmetic repairs, and detailing

  • Communicate vendor delays or issues to Sales Management


 


Inventory System Support (vAuto / iRecon)



  • Update window stickers and vehicle location information as needed

  • Assist with inventory status updates within dealership systems

  • Flag stalled vehicles or recon gaps for management review

  • Assist management with maintaining accurate lot inventory tracking

  • Issue Identification & Reporting

  • Identify and communicate inventory concerns such as damage, missing keys, misplacements, vendor delays, or lot organization issues

  • Promptly report issues to Sales Management for resolution


 


Photo and Merchandising



  • Photograph all new and used inventory for Website

  • Other dealership photography needs as requested, including headshots.

  • For new vehicles undergoing Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) or Window Tint processes,

  • take the first 1-5 photos before the car goes to the shop and within the first 3 days of arrival. This is critical for pre-selling the vehicle on our website or generating leads.

  • For used vehicles undergoing reconditioning, take the first 1-5 photos as soon as possible so that vehicle can generate leads and be marketed within the first 5 days of arrival.

  • Upload pictures to Marketing

  • Ensure photos are up to specifications

  • Assist with descriptions and online merchandising
