If you share our clear vision to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Senior Principal Engineer, reporting directly to the hiring manager to join our Electrical and Instrumentation team based in Houston, Texas, USA.

Produces and supports the development of all types of Electrical deliverables on a project, including electrical power studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protective relay coordination studies, etc.), electrical area classification drawings, one-lines, schematics and wiring design; lighting, power, grounding, and cable tray plan drawings, and specification of electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear in Petrochemical Plants.Lead and/or support a Team of Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers on PDP, FEED and Detail Engineering ProjectsDevelops project scope of work for electrical engineering and designMonitors and advises Department Manager of major project changesPrepares detail design schedule milestones, staff loading schedules and man-hour estimates for engineering and design tasksReports progress, updates schedules, manages staffing needs and hourly budgetEstablishes engineering and design concepts and data for scope assigned to group and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirementsPrepares project scope deviations documentation as requiredResearches suitable solutions, estimated cost and timescalesTrains less experienced engineersReviews vendor documentsIndependently evaluates the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project objectivesApplies standard engineering design tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codesPlans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of workReviews and generates design data and/or deliverables from various inputsPerforms the more sophisticated and complicated designs in accordance with established company standardsCoordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplinesSupervises, checks and assists other electrical personnel in their assignmentsPrepares and /or supervises and checks documents and drawings as requiredQualifications:

15 plus years in LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and/or Petrochemical Plant Engineering/DesignBachelor of Science degree in Electrical EngineeringInclusion Standards
