Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Systems Architect Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.\n\nIn this role, you will work with The Melbourne Manned Aircraft Design (MAD) Center of Excellence (CoE) to support key program/s in the Aeronautics Systems Sector (NGAS). You will perform system engineering activities for all levels of a total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. Additionally, you will perform use case development and prepare systems engineering artifacts, including the definition of Features and Subsystem Features to be developed by program Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to implement customer-requested capabilities. Finally, you will also communicate Features and Subsystem Features relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\n * Performs systems integration, and verification for total systems.\n * Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software features.\n * Support Feature Definition, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into Features, and further allocate to lower levels.\n * Coordinate across ARTs to ensure full decomposition of Features\n * Define and execute overall system verification plan and associated products for FCA. Coordinate verification with ARTs to ensure proper verification roll-up. Manage overall verification products in support of system sell-off.\n * Work on an agile team utilizing Jira to track work progress\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master\u0027s Degree in a STEM field and at least 6 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 4 years of relevant military / professional experience\n * Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with training systems\n * Understanding of the training system lifecycle\n * Experience with aircrew simulator design and development\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
