Job Description - Senior Private Banker - High Net Worth (HNW) Individuals


As a Senior Private Banker for High-Net-Worth Individuals, you will be responsible for delivering personalized financial solutions and exceptional service to affluent clients. You will manage and grow a portfolio of HNW clients by providing strategic advice across deposits, credit, and treasury services.  This role requires deep financial expertise, strong relationship management skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for HNW clients, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
    • Understand clients’ financial goals, risk tolerance, and personal values to deliver tailored solutions
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Monitor client portfolios and proactively recommend adjustments based on market conditions and client objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk policies.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the client base through referrals, networking, and targeted outreach.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging trends in private banking.
    • Transition existing book of business to GBC.  Timeline goal to be specified by Manager
  • Credit & Lending Solutions:
    • Structure and manage complex credit facilities including mortgages, lines of credit, and tailored lending solutions.
    • Knowledge of and experience in Commercial Credit 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in private banking or wealth management, with a focus on HNW clients.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of affluent clients.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Deep understanding of the needs of clients in specialized segments (e.g., sports, entertainment, family offices).
  • Ability to navigate complex family dynamics.
