One of the nation’s premier Oil & Gas companies is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to lead their ambitious procurement initiatives!
This Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the IT, Telecom, and Professional Services categories and will be responsible for centralizing the organization. This position reports directly to the Director of Indirect Procurement and has great visibility with senior/ C-suite executives in the company. This position is hybrid/ onsite with 4 days a week being required in the Houston office.
The Senior Category Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of strategy for the IT, Telecom, and Professional Services categories.
Lead and mentor a team of three (3) direct reports.
Monitor and negotiate monthly price changes based on market fluctuations. Inform the business units about price trends, supply disruptions, and industry capacity changes. Be the expert for assigned categories.
Effectively collaborate and communicate with a variety of stakeholders from admins to C-Suite level leadership.
Utilize experience to centralize the indirect procurement organization to efficiency and increase leverage with suppliers to drive cost savings.
Be a critical thinker who drives process improvements by developing and integrating best practices across multiple functions and strategic sourcing teams.
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
Bachelor’s Degree
7+ years of procurement experience
Experience with any/all the following categories: IT, Telecom, Professional Services
Experience overseeing direct reports strongly preferred
